screenwriter and author
Elizabeth Searle adapted the script for A Four-Sided Bed from her own critically acclaimed novel. A Four-Sided Bed appeared on the Boston Globe Paperback Bestseller list and was nominated by the ALA as a best LGBQ novel of the year. It has been listed online as a Best Bisexual Love Story. Elizabeth also created TONYA & NANCY: THE ROCK OPERA, based on the Harding/Kerrigan skating scandal: an original theater work which has had multiple productions around the country, including in Boston, LA, Chicago and NYC. The show has drawn major media coverage, including ESPN Hollywood, MSNBC, CNN, People.com, the AP, Good Morning America, and NPR. Along with A Four-Sided Bed, Elizabeth is the author of four other books of fiction. CELEBRITIES IN DISGRACE which the New York Times Book Review called ‘a miniature masterpiece,’ was produced as a short film, with a script co-written by Elizabeth. The film played at film festivals around the country; it premiered at the Woods Hole International Film Festival on Cape Cod, where Elizabeth’s script for A Four-Sided Bed later won a screenwriting award. The script is also an official selection of the Los Angeles Film Awards 2019. Elizabeth’s one-act play Stolen Girl Song was produced ‘off off Broadway’ at the 2019 Act One: One Act Play Festival. Her newest musical theater piece, IDOL TALK, premieres in 2019.
